Working with Paper Cinema

So this week I'm doing a few days work with the marvelous Paper Cinema on their new show 'West', which will have two showings on Saturday night, as part of Mayfest. All the details are below and it's starting to take shape already - very exciting! Very limited places to view the show, so act quick if you want to see it.

Paper Cinema

Monday 20 - Saturday 25 The utterly brilliant Paper Cinema (King Pest & Night Flyer, 2009) are in residence at Mayfest 2013, where they will be working with Bristol-based animators and artists to create West, an entirely new show inspired by the city we call home. Paper Cinema will create a laboratory of creativity in the heart of Bristol’s creative industrial home. Nestled between Bristol Old Vic’s workshops, Puppet Place and Spike Island, Bristol Diving School will be brought to life with paper, scissors, pencils and music.
Acting as a companion piece to their 2009 show East about London’s East End, West will be a reflection of contemporary Bristol, conjured up with their trademark animation, projection and live music. There’ll be chances throughout the week for you to join in and help make the show, and everyone is welcome on the final day of the festival for the world premiere of the show.
The very talented Bristol based artists that will join The Paper Cinema for the residency are:
Becca Rose
Catherine Whyte
Dave Bain
Joe Roberts
Lisa Yardley
Will Newsome
Hazel Mills
Residency: 20-25 May; final performance: 25 May.
