Easter Bunny

Earlier this year I did a spot of design work for Bristol's first Chocolate Festival. One aspect of this design was to come up with a simple illustration of an Easter bunny, that could also be turned into a cut-out toy. This was a great challenge and it was fun seeing the various ways the bunny was used across media and in local press coverage.

You'll Get Used To It

Artists Oliver Braid and I recently collaborated on his project 'You'll Get Used To It'. The project was focused on hair loss and I contributed this tee design.

back of my head (for Oliver's website) I'd like to think I've still got some hair, but perhaps I'm fooling myself.

BUNT

In case you missed Bristol's BIGGEST illustration exhibition, BUNT, then here is my contribution to it. I painted the Long-eared owl surrounded by Early Spider Orchids, which are both endangered species of the South-West (the theme for the exhibition). I had my piece of wooden bunt on display in Bristol's Colston Hall foyer during Bristol's Big Green Week and The Festival of Nature.

Looking back to the Red Feather exhibition

Towards the end of last year and running into 2012 I had the privilege to exhibit some of my bird-themed work in the cafe/bar at Cardiff's 'Chapter'.  The show was entitled 'Red Feather' as I had produced 10 new images of robins to be integrated into a bespoke mural for the space.

I neglected to properly blog the images and mural earlier this year, so here they are in full. More images of me creating the mural can be viewed here.

Some of the artwork below is still available for sale and each image can be ordered from my as a limited edition giclee print. Watch out for news on robin Christmas card sets in shops later this year.

Large Mural for 'The Gallimaufry' (Bristol)

Bristol's long standing and slightly tired looking 'The Prom' is now but a fuzzy memory. In its place is the much cosier and warm 'The Gallimaufry' (already affectionately known as 'The Galli') with it's exposed rough wooden surfaces, nooks and crannies and off-centre artwork. I was commissioned to produce a mural to run along behind the stage area, reflecting some of the artwork I'd produced for 2011's Deep Into The Woods exhibition. Below are the results...
